I was craving some kebabs, because it’s been a long time since I had them. Couldn’t find a place that serve them here. It is really easy to do, so here we go!

You can mix it up by putting a variety of vegetables in it! For my kebabs, I used cucumbers, capsicum, cucumbers, some lady’s fingers, potatoes, pineapples and some carrots.

It looks more appetising and appealing to have a nice mix of vegetables and meat.

Proteins, I have pork and chicken. I marinated them differently, but I definitely love the flavours of the chicken more!

Marinate instructions:


2 tablespoon of white wine or cooking wine
a teaspoon of lemon juice
a dash of salt and pepper
half a teaspoon of fresh rosemary


2 tablespoons of red wine or cooking wine
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 tablespoon of soysauce
a dash of pepper


I marinated the meat for about 30mins or so, while you prepare the rest of the vegetables.

I microwaved the potatoes and carrots for a short while beforehand, the time the meat takes to cook and sear is too short to cook these two ingredients.

Skewer the meat and vegetables interchangeably, so that it gets a variety of colors.

The remaining sauce from the marinates will be brushed on the entire skewer to give the vegetables some flavour.

Pan fry your skewers, or place them on a grill. I prefer to do it stovetop instead of the oven to prevent overcooking the meat!

I panfried them on a pan instead of on a grill!
